The linear slide, linear rail, has been ground to bearing precision on its hardened surfaces to make it suitable for mounting. The bolt center distances for body connection are fixed, making it suitable for use with socket head cap screws. Short bolt usage intervals connect to the machine body with very high cutting force due to the strength of each bolt. Due to its square cross-section manufacturing, it is highly resistant to vertical and horizontal deflection. For applications longer than 4000 millimeters, the required travel distance is achieved by using wedges or simply grinding the ends and joining them end-to-end.
